We're on a mission to make the most environmentally-friendly milk

PKN® is dedicated to developing next-generation plant-based milk that supports our planet

SO, IS PLANT BASED MILK REALLY BETTER FOR THE ENVIRONMENT?

Short answer: yes. Cow's milk results in almost three times more greenhouse gas and requires nine times more land use emissions than any plant-based milk.

Still, not all milk alternatives are created equal. Some nut trees require more water to grow than others. For some plant milks, the greenhouse gas emissions — from transportation, processing, packaging and waste disposal — are huge.

WHY PECANS ARE THE MOST SUSTAINABLE CHOICE

As native plants, pecans do a lot for the local ecosystem — they foster the microbes, insects, and other plants that help local ecosystems thrive.

They grow with rain rather than irrigated water. They've survived for decades, through droughts and storms alike, with minimal human intervention.

With PKN, you get delicious, dairy-free milk on your table while supporting regenerative farming practices.

WASTE-FREE FROM PRODUCTION TO PACKAGING

PKN has developed a waste-free process for making pecan milk from the entire pecan, as compared to most nut milks that soak the nut and dispose of the byproduct.

Beyond the milk itself, PKN's shelf-stable packaging also saves food waste. Before consumers open a bottle of PKN, it can be stored for more than a year without refrigeration.
